Oh fun. This is one of my most FAVORITE flat earth debunking arguments because it's something literally ANYONE can do at any time they want with nothing but a few websites and some time to spare.
The Himawari-8 satellite is a weather satellite made by the Japan meteorological agency (NOT NASA) which takes an image of the Asian-pacific region every 10 minutes.
What's that, flat earthers?
"IT'S CGI!!"
Really? Well, these images HAVE to be real or weather monitoring in the Asian-pacific region would be next to impossible because other countries need to use the satellite data for weather monitoring. How do countries like Japan or Australia predict the weather without this satellite being real, then?
"..."
I thought so. You don't have an answer to that.
Well, let's do a little experiment, shall we?
Here's a screenshot of Perth Australia from the Himawari website of the 30th of March 2017 at exactly 2PM Melbourne/Sydney time.
As we can see by this image, Perth appears sunny.
Now let’s see what Perth’s weather was like at that time on the same day.
Ohhh. Hmm, sorry flatties! It’s exactly as it should be.
You can try this experiment yourself anytime by googling the weather in the cities shown in the Himawari images and comparing the weather. It will match up, I can guarantee it, because the photos are genuine and the earth is spherical.
Now let’s take this a little bit further.
NASA has a satellite called DSCOVR which lies about 1.5 million kilometres away. It takes images of the earth every so often and every day it takes a picture of the Asian pacific region, the exact area the Himawari-8 satellite takes pictures of.
Now, we just need to find two images from both the DSCOVR satellite and the himawari-8 satellite that were taken at the same time so we can compare the clouds and see if they’re the same. If the clouds match up, we can confirm the images are real because the chances of America and Japan matching clouds up together EVERY DAY just to fool billions of people is unlikely as all hell.

The first image was a himawari-8 image and the second one was taken by the EPIC camera onboard DSCOVR. Both images were taken at around 11:50 AM Sydney/Melbourne time and the clouds match up PERFECTLY with each other.
However, I ask that you don’t take my word for it. Here’s the EPIC picture and on the Himawari website from before just enter the 24th April 2017 at 11:50 Melbourne/Sydney time and you will find your matching images.
You don’t even have to compare these 2 images only. You can try this ANYTIME and the clouds will match up perfectly. The EPIC cameras pictures have a few days of delay so once their images go through, grab the one looking at the asian pacific region, go onto the Himawari-8 satellite images and find the same day the EPIC image was taken and go to about 11:50AM Melbourne/Sydney time.
Compare the EPIC and Himawari-8 satellite images and their cloud patterns and it will match up. Good luck, flattards!
